CPC is Led by Derreck Chapman, a veteran entrepreneur and a Department of Energy-certified Community Solar Developer, our team comprises a dynamic group of BIPOC community advocates. Chapman, who has also served the Watts community as a Fire Captain, is committed to filling the renewable energy infrastructure void in underserved areas. United in purpose, we are devoted to energizing urban and BIPOC farmlands through groundbreaking solar projects. 

Adam Powers, a key member of our team, brings invaluable experience from running his own nonprofit focused on renewable energy solutions. His most notable achievement is the successful installation of a solar microgrid in an urban garden, a project that not only powered the garden but also served as a model for community-based sustainable practices. His expertise in project management, system design, and stakeholder engagement will be instrumental in scaling our Community Solar Garden Initiative.
